Customize your ownership to your needs.

There are several types of agreements that allow multiple parties to share ownership of a jet, including joint ownership, co-ownership, and fractional ownership:

Joint ownership
This agreement is based on Federal Aviation Regulation 91.501(b)(6) and allows two or more people to own undivided interests in an aircraft. Each joint owner must be registered with the FAA and their names appear on the aircraft's registration certificate. The agreement specifies how the owners will share the fixed ownership costs, but each owner is responsible for their own direct operating costs. One owner may also be responsible for providing the flight crew. Joint ownership can be a good option if one owner doesn't want to participate in operating the aircraft.

Co-ownership
This agreement is also known as an aircraft partnership agreement and is more common between individuals than corporations. Each co-owner is responsible for providing the flight crew, which can be done independently or through a management company.

Fractional ownership
In this agreement, multiple parties purchase shares of a specific type of aircraft and are allotted a certain number of flight hours per year. The percentage of ownership each party has corresponds to the number of hours they can use the jet. For example, one-eighth of ownership might correspond to 100 hours per year. Some fractional ownership programs allow owners to sell or purchase flight hours from other owners.
